Vivid sunrises seem most spectacular in April here in Brown County, Indiana. The leaves have not yet come out in early April, so the trees appear quite stark against the orange skies, providing wonderful colors and contrast as inspiration for paintings.

This painting was done with Liquitex Heavy Body Acrylics. The textured background was created with White Modeling Paste.
